Meet our Photographer

Sherry Ward was referred to our store by one of our Brides who absolutely loved her! After scoping out her webpage we knew she was the perfect fit for our store because her prices were great and her work was even better. We were so pleased with the first photo shoot that she did with our store and we immediately knew she was the kind of photographer that would bend over backwards if it meant making you happy. We’d like to share a bit about Sherry with you and we hope you’ll take them time to look at what she’s doing with her photography.

Introducing Sherry Ward:

“I have always had a love for photography. Not only did I love taking pictures, but I loved looking at them. I started working for a photo lab (back in the film days) when I was first in college. I LOVED this job. I ended up getting hired for an amazing professional photographer a while later. I LOVED that job EVEN MORE! I loved everything about it. I especially loved the weddings!!! I asked him if I could follow him around to learn more and he said, “Sure, you can even hold my bag and camera equipment!” He then trained me very well to become his assistant and would have me shoot with him as his second and when he couldn’t. A few other photographers hired me on as second shooters as well. I truly had a lot of fun doing this! In 2007, I decided to take a big leap of faith and go out on my own. I have never been so grateful that I believed in myself to make this dream a reality! It has been an AMAZING journey. I have come so far and learned so much about business, photography and myself.

After the cake is cut, the guests have all gone, the dress is tucked back in the closet, the only thing you will have to remind your of your special day is your wedding photos. I can’t not even tell you HOW important it is to hire not only a professional, but someone you trust and get along with! I have had too many brides come to me AFTER the wedding and tell me how much they hated their wedding photos and wished they had just hired me instead of cutting costs on photography by having a friend, family member or someone who was building their portfolio. Next to choosing the best companion for you, your dress and your photographer should be your top priority! NEVER SETTLE because you ARE worth it!

One thing I learned in observation and working with other photographers, is that styles are constantly changing. I have always had a great love of the classic and timeless style. In 5-10 years, are you going to be embarrassed that you had your Bridals taken in front of a graffiti wall? Maybe… In 50 years are you going to be grateful that you took that full length picture of you and your sweetheart on the ever so cliche granite pedestal in front of the SLC Temple? More then likely! I want all my brides to feel beautiful and it is my goal and priority to make you FEEL THAT! Nothing is more rewarding to me then this!

I am a HUGE fan of traveling and my rates are ridiculously reasonable. I have shot at the San Diego Temple, Twin Falls, Edmonton Alberta Canada, Nauvoo, Lake Tahoe. These weddings were more then an amazing experience for me! I would be more then happy to make this an amazing experience for you as well!”
